Be it enacted and ordained by the Germany Township Board of supervisors of Adams County, Pennsylvania and it is hereby enacted and ordained as follows:
The purpose of this ordinance is to clarify and make certain when it is necessary for a property owner in Germany Township to apply for and obtain a permit for the installation of an individual sewage system or a community sewage system.
An ordinance regulating junk dealers and the establishment and operation of junk yards, providing for the issuance of licenses for junk dealers and for the establishment and operation of junk yards, and prescribing penalties for violations, in Germany Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania.
An ordinance regulating the accumulating, collecting, depositing and dumping of sold waste, refuse, trash, garbage, rubbish, decaying matter and organic waste substance; licensing and regulating sites for the disposal of sold waste, refuse, trash, garbage, rubbish, decaying matter and organic waste substance; providing for a procedure for processing applications to operate such sites; and providing penalties for any violation of this ordinance.
The following ordinance is hereby adopted by the Board of Supervisors of Germany Township. Whereas the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has enacted Act 68 of 1985 setting forth certain guidelines and limitations for the compensation of supervisors of townships of the second class.
An ordinance regulating the parking of vehicles on the streets and roads in The Township of Germany, Adams County, Pennsylvania, during periods of snowfall.
An ordinance requiring all persons, partnerships, businesses, and corporations to obtain a building permit for any construction or development; providing for the issuance of such building permits; setting forth certain minimum requirements for new construction and development within areas of Germany Township which are subject to flooding; and establishing penalties for any persons who fail, or refuse to comply with, the requirements or provision of this ordinance.
An ordinance of the Board of Supervisors of Germany Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania, prohibiting nuisances and restricting the height of grass, weeds and other vegetation on private or public property within the township; providing for the removal thereof on public or private grounds after notice to the owners to do so, and in default thereof, to collect the costs of such removal by the township; and prescribing penalties for violation.

An ordinance of Germany Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania, recognizing Kingsdale Volunteer Fire Company as the officially recognized fire company to provide fire protection and related services to the Township of Germany, authorizing activities of the fire company, officers, and members of the fire company for the purpose defining public firefighting duties and providing additional protection to firefighters under workmen's compensation law.
The following ordinance is hereby adopted by the Board of Supervisors of Germany Township, Adams County.
Whereas, the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has enacted Act__ of 1995, setting forth certain guidelines and limitations for the compensation of supervisors of townships of the second class.
An umbrella ordinance amending existing township ordinances intending to adopt that all township created violations and penalties shall be deemed civil in nature and expressly converting all existing township ordinances creating summery offences to civil violations pursuant to Act 60 of 1995.
An ordinance regulating traffic items within the Township of Germany, County of Adams including but not limited to traffic speeds, parking regulations, weight limits, and snow emergency routes and repealing certain existing Township Ordinances.

An ordinance prohibiting the defecation by animals upon public and private property and designating such defecation as being a nuisance, prohibiting noise disturbance of animals an designating such noise disturbance as a nuisance, imposing a duty upon owners of animals to dispose of animals feces, exempting dogs accompanying blind or handicapped persons, and fixing a fine for violation hereof.
An ordinance establishing fees for return check charges; service charges for duplicate tax bills and service charge fee for certification as to the payment status or delinquent tax statement prepared by the tax collectors office.
An ordinance of The Township of Germany, Adams County, Pennsylvania, appointing the elected tax collector at the collector of delinquent taxes.
Whereas, the purpose of this ordinance is to promote the general health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Germany Township, Adams County, PA (herein after "Germany Township") and to conform to the requirements of the Pennsylvania Construction Code Act and regulations to the Act promulgated by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry (herein sometimes collectively referred to as the "Code"); and Whereas, the Pennsylvania Construction Code Act requires the enactment of an appropriate ordinance by municipalities electing to administer and enforce the building code provisions of the Code. Now, therefore, it is hereby enacted and ordained as follows:
1. Germany Township hereby elects to administer and enforce the provisions of the Pennsylvania Construction Code Act, Act 45 of 1999, 35P.S.Sec.7210.1103, as amended from time to time, and its regulations.
2. The Uniform Construction Code, contained in PA 34 Pa. Code, Chapters 401-405, as amended from time to time, is hereby adopted and incorporated herein by reference as the municipal building code of Germany Township.
3. Administration and enforcement of the Code within Germany Township shall be undertaken in any of the following ways as determined by the governing body of Germany Township from time to time by resolution:
a. By the designation of an employee of Germany Township to serve as the municipal code official to act on behalf of Germany Township;
b. By the retention of one or more construction code officials or third party agencies to act on behalf of Germany Township;
c. By agreement with one or more other municipalities for the joint administration and enforcement of this Act through an intermunicipal agreement;
d. By entering into a contract with another municipality for the administration and enforcement of this Act on behalf of Germany Township;
An ordinance authorizing the Township of Germany, Adams County, Pennsylvania, to enter into an intermunicipal agreement creating a shared Adams County UCC Board of Appeals.
Whereas, the purpose of this ordinance is to promote the general health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Germany Township, Adams County, PA (herein after "Germany Township") Now, therefore, it is hereby enacted and ordained as follows:
2005-1-1 titles.
This ordinance shall be known and may be cited as the "Germany Township Engine Brake Ordinance"
2005-1-2 Legislative intent.
The Board of Supervisors of Germany Township, Adams County, PA, find as a fact, that the operation of an engine brake on a gasoline-powered or diesel-powered motor vehicle not equipped with mufflers or equipped with defective or modified exhaust mufflers, so as to create excessive noise through the use of said engine brake, adversely affects the public health, safety and welfare of the residents of Germany Township and, therefore is a nuisance in fact.
An ordinance of the Township of Germany, Adams County, Pennsylvania authorizing and empowering the York Adams Tax Bureau to impose and retain those costs and fees associated with the collection of the delinquent taxes in accordance with Act 192 of 2004.

An ordinance to promote the public health, safety and general welfare and their property by regulating the operation of recreational vehicles as defined in said ordinance within the Township of Germany, Adams County, Pennsylvania: to provide for the enforcement of said ordinance and penalties for the violation of the said; and to amend or repeal any other ordinance or parts of ordinances in conflict therewith.
